Business Teacher Industry Visit Day

Are you a local business interested in connecting with the education sector? The Business Teacher Industry Visit Day, taking place on Monday, 25 November 2024, offers a unique opportunity for businesses in the North Brisbane area to engage with up to 20 business teachers from the VET (Vocational Education and Training) sector.

This initiative, organised by BNCC, has been running since 2017, involving over 50 business teachers from eight North Brisbane secondary schools and more than 20 local industry hosts. The goal is to help school RTO trainers and assessors stay up-to-date with industry standards and practices. By participating, you’ll not only promote your business but also contribute to the professional development of educators who train the next generation of workers.

As a host, you’ll spend approximately an hour showcasing your business to these educators. Once confirmed, you will be provided with a list of topics you can choose from to address. Depending on the timing of the visit, you could also consider providing morning tea, lunch, or afternoon tea, creating a relaxed environment for networking and discussions.
